GERMAN VALENZUELA BASTERRICA

He was a chilean doctor and a dentristy, who founded in 1911 the dental’s school university of chile. He was able to found it after 1909, on 5 February, when German Chancellor Becker appeared calcined, and the main suspect was the doorman because 27 thousand pesos of the safe box were missing. After a few months began to arrive letters with an identical letter of the chancellor, that emerged doubts to the investigators. Then appears Dr. Germán Valenzuela Basterica, with a great impression caused, when doing the first dental tests, because thanks to these it was determined that that body did not belong to the chancellor, but that, as no one ever thought, they belonged to Exequiel Tapia, the doorman they all suspected. Becker has planned everything but he didnt know that the technology of the era would solve the case, he burned the doorman and escaped with the money of the safe box. As the months passed, they found Becker trying to escape to Argentina, and they shot him fos justice. Dr. German V. Basterrica was without doubts a key piece for the case. I like him because he could make justice with his career, and helps Exequiel’s family to found some peace.

    Is so interesting how one dentist could do something like solve a criminal case! Some people think dentist only can help people in a Box, but we can do a lot of things too!

    I remember the first time I heard from him!
    It was in a class of "society and culture" CFG and his history fascinated me!

    I like Dr. Valenzuela too! It's a interesting case and he was an exceptional dentist with ideals very different from the dentist of his time!

My Favorite Food

My favorite food its the one which cook my mom, because she use a lot of vegetables, that gives to the food a smell and a unique flavor. But my favorite food cooked by my mom it is Beans with mazamorra, and the thing that i love the most of that plate is the pepper of color, that mix with the beans its the best flavor in the world. And the amazing part of this plate its that my mom knows my likes and give me a bowl of tomatoes with onions, seasoned with olive oil and salt, practicularly the moment when I mix the beans and the tomatoe in only one plate, that's the moment of high happiness, and i eat that in five minutes, i feel like a bean, round and happy. I hope that you try the plate, with fresh beans and vegetables, you will fall in love with the typical plate of Chile, the country of the end of the world.

Postgrade Studies

Something that everyone else ask me is what am i going to specialize when i will finish the pregrade. And its something that i never think, because i hate and i love every topics of odontology in some point of my study. And honestly i am not ready to chose, one of the reasons its because i think that in the time im going change over and over again my election, because there are s many areas that i love, but i have it clear what are the subjects that i hate or dislike, one of them are Endodontics, because is so boring, you have to put into the tooth one lime after lime, and everytime you pass a lime you have to increasing numbers, and you can stay doing that like and hour in the root channel without seen anything, its super boring, in fact makes me sleepy. The other that I hate it is Periodontics because before procedure as such you have to fill in a file with all the measurements of a periodontal probe for each tooth and for each face! you get so tired and also your patients,...
